Today in the UK it is Father's day. I'd like to wish all father's a happy father's day, including my own. But I'd especially like to wish all the father's in Gaza a happy Father's day, and let them know, we see you and your bravery. Any man in Gaza is labelled a terrorist, but this is so far from the truth. Gaza has shown us how brave and courageous many of them are. The men in Gaza are many things, doctors saving lives, teachers trying to educate the children and help them deal with their trauma, some are ambulance drivers risking their lives trying to get medical help for the sick and injured. Some are rescuers working all hours trying to dig bomb victims out of the rubble of their homes. The list goes on and on, and let's not forget that most of the men in Gaza are risking their lives trying to get food and water for their families. These men are brave and courageous and I hold them in the highest regard, we should all honour and respect their bravery.
Some father's have died in Gaza, like the one in my last photos. He died trying to feed his family, and others are getting injured and hurt trying to feed their families. If you want to know what a strong man looks like, look at the men in Gaza, because there are none braver than them.
Happy father's day to all fathers, whether they're with you or in another place. The very last photo is of a Palestinian father killed today, on 'Father's Day's, collecting flour to feed his family. He has no weapons on him, he is not Hamas or any other armed group, just a defenceless man, a defenceless father trying to keep his family alive. May he rest in peace.
