My candle for Ukraine

 

This is my candle for Ukraine. I pray for peace in Ukraine and all over the world. We've had enough of wars with the death and destruction they bring. I pray for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and for the end of all wars.

2022 - Happy St. Patrick's day

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone. I know I talked about St. David's day on March 1st, because I'm Welsh, but I'm part Irish too, this is because my mother was born in Derry (Londonderry if you're non-Catholic). I include an Irish blessing.

May the road rise to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

Remember Yemen

 

Yemen is one of the Arab world's poorest countries, and for the last 8 years it's been struggling with a vicious civil war. The violence over the last few months has been getting worse, and the war in Ukraine will make life harder for them because it will cause more food shortages. Five million people are already on the brink of famine, over 2 million children under the age of 5 are acutely malnourished, almost half a million children are at risk of dying without treatment. Half the Yemen population have no access to safe drinking water, which has caused Cholera outbreaks. Twenty million people lack access to proper healthcare. The situation is getting worse. 

Always the most innocent and poorest suffer the most. All wars are wrong, and they're avoidable today. I see very few people calling out Saudi Arabia or UAE for the killings that's going on here, or causing so much suffering. Is this because the Houthi rebels are mostly from the Shia Muslim community. Lots of the Yemenis are not light skinned, but hardly any of the non-white Muslims are calling for the end of this war, or calling out the wealthy Arab countries that are dropping bombs on innocent, poor people. People are calling the Westerners racist, saying they're only supporting Ukrainians because they're white, blonde haired and blue eyed; even though most Ukrainians are not blue eyed or blonde. Why are so many not campaigning for the non-white Yemeni people? The Houthis May be Shia, and a minority, but Sunni Muslims in Yemen support them, so why are they forgotten and not mentioned. A Yemeni mother loves her children just as much as a Jewish or Christian mother. Every life is sacred and precious. Everyone has the right to live in safety. 

I do not stand with people or support them because of the colour of their skin, or because of what religious group they belong to. I care about people who are suffering and need a voice. The citizens of Yemen are suffering and it's not popular to care about them, but I do. Yemen needs our prayers. END ALL WARS!

2022 - International women's day

Happy international women's day. This year to celebrate it, I'm sharing a photo of a woman called 'Sarah Everard', sadly Sarah is no longer with us because a serving Met police officer murdered her last year. I will not mention his name, he deserves to be forgotten, but while Sarah was walking home one evening in South London, a serving Met police officer arrested Sarah, and told her he was arresting her for breaking Covid-19 regulations; this officer then kidnapped Sarah, raped her and strangled her to death, before burning her body and disposing of her remains in a pond. This officer was caught and is now in prison. 

Sarah was a beautiful young woman who had her whole life in front of her, but she was murdered because of this toxic masculinity that seems to be growing all over the world. Lots of men need to be taught its not ok to hurt someone who is vulnerable and weaker than you. Thankfully there are still some good men out there, but they seem to be a dying breed, and we need to change this. Today on this international women's day, I remember Sarah Everard, and all the victims around the world of male aggression, violence and toxic masculinity, and I pay respect to the good men who know how to behave like a true gentleman.

 

Zelensky - The new superhero!

 

During his inaugural address in 2019, Zelensky told lawmakers, "I do not want my picture in your offices; the President is not an icon, an idol or a portrait. Hang your kids photo's instead, and look at them each time you are making a decision". 

Putin is nothing more than a bully, and of course a mad man. He thought Zelensky would be a weak leader because he is not a politician. Zelensky was a comedy actor who has shown way more courage than Putin ever has. Zelensky has had to put his family in safety because Putin has put a target on them. You do not try to murder someone's family if you're a strong and stable leader. 

Anyone who openly supports Putin, or spreads Russian propaganda is supporting the murder of innocent people! Sadly, a lot of people who claimed to be Pro-Palestine are openly supporting Putin/Russia, you lot have done so much damage to the Palestinian cause, you've set it back by 10-20 years easily! The saddest part is, you don't even see your own hypocrisy! Try to remember that Russia threatened, and stole part of the country called Finland! Why has it not bullied or tried to steal part of China? Additionally, who are you, to tell the people of Ukraine they're not allowed to join the EU or NATO! It would be the same as Great Britain telling the people of Ireland, they have to leave the EU because Britain doesn't want them in there because it causes trouble with their border. Would you all be saying Britain has the right to do that? And before anyone posts saying it's Russia's security, try to keep in mind, with Russia taking Ukraine, its put NATO on it's border itself! 

Study some history, and stop reading short inaccurate articles that are Pro-Russia and believing them! And lastly, do not call me a racist because I'm anti-war and supportive to the people of Ukraine. I have openly supported all victims of war and openly spoken out against my own country! If you're non-white and disagree with me because you're Pro-Russia and anti-Ukraine, you can't call me a racist. If you had half a brain cell you'd understand that your actions and views make you a racist! 

Do not post Russian propaganda on here or spread hate; if you do I will block you. It's fine to disagree with my opinions, but not with facts! And if you insult the person, it's because you cannot debate the facts, and by insulting the person, you've lost your argument. I will never support the murder of innocent people, especially children and families! I will always give a voice to the people who need it! If you don't like this, shame on you!

I stand with Ukraine

 

I try tow avoid posting about politics and certain things today, mostly because I can't be asked to deal with ignorant and stupid people; but there are some things that you can't stay quiet about. I have been truly shocked and saddened by some of the comments and posts I'm seeing about the war in Ukraine. The hate, racism and misinformation is shocking and heart breaking. 

I keep reading people posting that they have zero sympathy for the people of Ukraine because the government doesn't support Palestine, and they're laughing saying they hope there's another holocaust. These are truly sick and disgusting comments. Most governments in the West support Israel, this doesn't mean the people support this.

I stand with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people because I am anti-war, just like I stand up for the innocent people of Palestine if they've been attacked, and the people of Yemen, and Syria, not forgetting Afghanistan and a few years before it became popular I was speaking out for the Muslims of Myanmar  (Rohingya). I am now speaking out for the people of Ukraine because I have to give a voice to the innocent victims who are being murdered. All life is sacred and precious! 

People like to accuse me of not knowing what I'm talking about, and telling me I'm listening only to Western media propaganda. They think because they don't listen to CNN, Fox or BBC they're 'Woke'. They're saying this and at the same time they're spreading Russian propoganda! Lots of these people hate the USA, UK, NATO & the West, so they openly support Russia. They seem to believe that your enemies enemy is your friend, but life is not that simple or black and white. 

People have been claiming they've never heard a single Ukrainian show sympathy for Palestinians, what utter rubbish and nonsense, how an earth can you claim to know what over 44 million people think or feel? Some people have been calling them Jews or Nazis, but over 70% of the population is Christian, and do you have any idea how insulting it is to call them Nazis, especially because of the fact that the Nazis killed so many Ukranians. And to say the Ukrainian people show no support for Muslims who are suffering around the world is insulting to the 500,000 Ukranian Muslims! 

Do you know who Taras Shevchenko is? Do you know who Mykola Lysenko is? Do you know what Ruthenia is? Do you know what happened in 1849? Do you know what happened in 1986? Do you even know what happened in 1237? Do you know how long the slavery of the Ukrainians go on for? Did you know there was one? Do you know Russian speakers can't understand the Ukrainian language and that the Ukrainian language is a softer language than Russian? Russians don't understand most Slavic languages. Do you know how many Ukrainians were murdered by the Soviets when they caused an artificial famine? Do you even know what years this took place? How much of these do you know because if its not many, you know nothing about Ukrainian history!

I pay attention to what each side says, then I look for alternative information and I watch what people do. I also look into history because history always repeats. I spend time researching topics too. People are spreading so much misinformation, and some of it is clearly Russian propaganda. I'm not saying the West doesn't do this, but Russia does it more than anyone. There are so many people who think they''re 'Woke' because they're believing Russian news, you're NOT 'Woke', you're not even half awake! Putin's justification for invading Ukraine is eerily similar to Hitler's pretext for seizing Czechoslovakia and Poland! Putin is claiming Ukraine is part of Russia, Hitler said the same thing in Mein Kampf when he insisted that Austria should be part of the motherland.  

Russia is not invading Ukraine because its protecting the Russian speaking Ukranians in the East, because if this was true he would have only invaded the parts in the East, additionally why has he waited 8 years before doing it, and why was there suddenly a problem? The other excuse was because of NATO, again this is rubbish, it's takes years to join NATO, and Russia knows Ukraine can't join because there's unrest on their border in the East. Additionally Russia had diplomatic opportunities, they could have gone to Germany or France and asked them to block Ukraine's application and they would have agreed.

In life you don't just listen to people's words, you watch their actions. Putin said he wasn't going to invade Ukraine, he lied! Putin also said he wasn't going to war with Ukraine, he lied! Then they did a totally strange thing, and no one is talking about it, they took Chernobyl.  Why would they take this? It hardly shows off the greatness of the old Soviet Union. They took this to protect the site because they had/have every intention of taking all of Ukraine. The fire in Chernobyl is still burning and if someone drops a bomb here it will ignite and cause a massive explosion, powerful enough to take out Ukraine and a lot more, including Russia. Did you know that Ukraine is very much a nuclear powered country? Ukraine is the 3rd highest nuclear powered country in the world., it has 15 reactors in 4 nuclear plants. 

Lots of people are complaining saying Russia has the right for security and they must not join NATO because they'll put weapons in there, but Ukraine used to have nuclear weapons. People are repeating Russian propaganda saying Ukraine has broken the Minsk agreement, but they're not commenting on an earlier agreement that Russia signed. In 1994 Ukraine gave up the nuclear weapons that the USSR had placed on their soil, in return, Russia, UK & USA guaranteed its security. Russia would never have attacked them if they'd kept their nuclear weapons.

For all the people supporting Russia remember what you're supporting. You're supporting, and are happy for thousands of innocent people, including children to be murdered. You're also supporting Russia ideology, you're saying it's right for Russia to say Ukraine is not a real country! You can no longer claim to support Palestine because Israel says Palestine doesn't exist. Additionally you're saying that Ukraine must not have weapons where they could hurt Russia. Israel says the same about Hamas and Gaza, so you agree with this! And if you agree with Putin/Russia you agree with him supporting Assad in Syria. You also don't care about the Muslims suffering in Yemen because this war will cause food shortages there, and children are dying from malnutrition out there already. And lets not forget there are refugees in Ukraine from Belarus and Afghanistan, who will now be at risk, but you don't care! 

You should be asking, why do so many of the smaller Eastern European countries hate Russia so much? Why are they running to help the Ukrainians with open arms? Its because they know what Russia is like and what it does. Why does Russia not have a free press, it's government controlled. Where is the Russian political opposition? Do you know who Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is? Do you know what is happening in Belarus? Where is that countries political opposition?  Do you even realise you're telling the people of Ukraine they can only do the things, and join the group's that Russia allows them to because Russia has the right to security. We don't have the right to tell others how they run their own country, in 1991 90% of the Ukrainian people voted for independence, to break away from Russia! 

Some people are quiet because they're avoiding politics, some are quiet because they're neural and don't know what to believe and some people are quiet because they don't like either governments, that's fine and their business, but remember that the world suffers a lot not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people. You cannot say that Russia can behave in a certain way, but Israel can't, that would be hypocrisy! 

Yes it's hard to watch because we've seen it all before, and we've seen it much worse, but if you have no sympathy for the innocent Ukrainian victims, and you say I don't feel sorry for them because they don't support Palestinians, you'll set the Palestinian cause back by 10 or 20 years! We show love, care, compassion and sympathy for ALL victims of war. This is how we create a kinder world. This is why I support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
